Where We Live
Living right next to the Grand Canyon means working in one of the most unique hospitality environments worldwide. You will have the chance to explore one of the seven natural wonders of the world, make friends from across the country and around the world, and gain unique and special experiences that you will remember forever!
The Grand Hotel is located in Tusayan, AZ. The town’s businesses mainly serve tourists who flock to see the Grand Canyon’s sweeping views, hike its trails or hop on a mule for a trip through the vast canyon.
Being an employee of The Grand Hotel has its perks! We offer our employees free entry into the Grand Canyon and Bearizona Wildlife Park, retail discounts at the hotel, the Tusayan Trading Post and the South Rim, free train rides on the Grand Canyon Railway, and discounts on most local attractions.
Staff Accommodations
The Grand Hotel offers community housing for employees. Community living can be a great way to bond and create lifelong friendships with others who share similar interests and values, however, it does come with some challenges. Being prepared will help with your transition. Employee housing varies by position. Most are manufactured homes or dorm style. Each room accommodates 2 – 3 people. Rooms included beds, bathroom, closet, dresser, and night stand. Utilities are included.
Staff Amenities
Amenities for the staff are just as important as our guest amenities. They include satellite television, air conditioning, complimentary laundry, personal safe and use of the hotel fitness center and pool.
You must be 18 years of age or older to live in company housing and must be actively employed by Xanterra. Pets, candles, and smoking are not permitted in company housing.
Meals
Meal plans are available for employees in employee housing, however, the chef and crew are not able to accommodate all dietary needs such as vegan or allergy-related restrictions.
