Government Shutdown Monitoring

Updated October 1, 2025 at 3:30pm MT

We have received word from the U.S. National Park Service that the entrances and roads into Grand Canyon National Park will remain open and accessible during the government shutdown. This means that restaurants, gift shops, activities, and services will be open and welcoming guests and visitors from around the world.

Some government-provided services (visitor center, public restrooms, etc.) may have reduced hours or closures; please consult the NPS website for up-to-date information. The National Park Service will provide emergency services, but please be very careful when venturing into the park.

We want to assure you that The Grand Hotel will remain open regardless of the government shutdown, and all reservations are unaffected. You can count on us to provide the same exceptional service and hospitality during your stay.
